Amaya Nuuez

Amaya Nuuez loves her fifth-floor apartment in the Washington Heights neighborhood of New York City, especially since she can knock on her bedroom wall and send messages to her best friend Aracelys Rodriguez. These two girls, who are more like sisters than friends, spend rainy days together, plant sidewalk flowers, and splash in open hydrants on sweaty summer days. When Aracelys joins Amaya on her family's Vermont vacation, they discover that away from Washington Heights, they don't like the same things. Can best friends still be best friends?
